Teaching Children Conflict Resolution

Looking for a keynote speaker for your parenting event or conference? Rachel LaFollette, a six-time award winning de-escalation expert helps parents intentionally model and teach their children positive conflict resolution skills.

Parents will walk away with new tools, tactics, resources and motivation to help their school-age children navigate tough situations.

After spending two decades in customer service leadership, it became clear to Rachel LaFollette, our founder, that the most common skill set professionals lack is conflict resolution. This is in part because many parents don't proactively or intentionally teach conflict resolution skills to their children. Nor is it taught in school. In fact, most companies have formal customer service training programs, but fail to give employees the tools they need to effectively handle customer escalations or even internal conflict.

Rachel is passionate about helping parents become better teachers in this area because it's a critical life skill that has great life-long impact for children.

Parent Resources

Parents will walk away with:

  • Practical ways to increase kids experience & comfort with healthy conflict.
  • Instructions for a "Complete Apology".
  • Steps for proactive conflict resolution.
  • Steps for reactive conflict resolution.
  • Real-world tactics.
  • Important (but sometimes hard) lessons to learn.
  • For Christian events: the story of Abigail & associated coloring sheet.
  • Affirmations for kids for building confidence.
